It is often recommended that everyone who is just starting out with pay per click advertising start on Google. That is because Google is still by a long way the leader in terms of getting traffic. If you get started on Google and get successful there, you can start to move on to the other search engines.
Your initial step is to sign up with a google account. You will enter in all of the usual information, decide what states you would like to target, the daily budget that you want to use and how you want to pay. Google charges $5.00 to register with them which is inexpensive compared to many of the other search engines.

With pay-per-click, you may create a three line ad. In order to do so effectively, you’ll need to target a keyword or keyword phrase which has relevancy to your business. How high up your ad appears on the page relies on how high your bid was. When someone clicks on your advertisement, you will pay the search engine the amount of your bid. You can change your bid at any time and there are other tools offered by the search engines that allow you to see how much other people are bidding so you can strategize appropriately.
When you are first starting out, you need to target the less competitive keywords so you don’t spend too much on your bids. As you begin to make more money, you can steadily target the more competitive keywords.
